Advertising & Links

The genesis for The Styron Observer & Commercial Appeal was to take advantage of the synergies that Styron Family members could achieve by working together to promote our respective businesses.

As we build our traffic, we will have a better idea on what kinds of activities would benefit from advertising here. Until then, the advertising rates are completely negotiable and here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Advertisements and links from other Styron-owned businesses, regardless of whether we know you. We grew up not knowing any other Styrons, and we’re curious about our Styron cousins.


  • Advertisements and links from our other cousins’ businesses. The entrepreneurial spirit didn’t come solely from the Styron side of the family. The Crittenden side of the family and our in-laws have started and run many successful and interesting businesses.

Our geographic focus is centered on the area where most of us have lived most of our lives, which is the Ozarks of southern Missouri, northern Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma. We have family connections in Texas, Kansas, Iowa and Illinois also. We expect that the bulk of our web visitors will be residents of these states, though we hope to attract many others.

Unsolicited Contributions

At this point, we are not purchasing art, photography or writing. We intend to use this site as an outlet for the writing and photography talents of our family members.

But that could change. If you believe that you have something great to offer that is related to our geographic focus, please send an inquiry first to editor@styronobserver.com, with links to your material, rather than attachments.
